The EchoRisk-MICCAI Challenge Dataset

A specially curated benchmark dataset derived from the EU-funded CARDIOCARE project. It represents the first echocardiography imaging database with explicit therapy-induced cardiotoxicity labels.

Data Use Agreement (DUA)

By downloading, accessing, or using the CARDIOCARE data provided for the EchoRisk-MICCAI 2026 challenge, you explicitly agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. License Definition (CC BY-NC-SA)

The dataset is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. You are free to adapt and build upon the material for non-commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate credit and distribute your contributions under the same license.

2. Challenge-Specific Restrictions

  • Registration Required: You must not bypass the official registration portal. Do not share direct download links or the extraction password with unregistered individuals outside of your approved team.
  • No Re-identification: The data has been strictly de-identified. You agree to make absolutely no attempt to re-identify, contact, or uncover the identity of any patient, clinical center, or physician associated with this dataset.
  • Clinical Liability: The data is provided for research and benchmarking purposes only. It is not intended for, and must not be used for, active clinical diagnosis or direct patient care.

3. Publication Embargo

To preserve the integrity of the challenge outcomes, an embargo period of three months following the release of the official challenge results will apply to all independent publications. Methodology papers submitted exclusively to the STACOM/MICCAI workshop as part of the challenge requirements are exempt from this embargo.

4. Acknowledgments & Citations

Any publication or public presentation utilizing this dataset must include the following text in its Acknowledgments section:

"The CARDIOCARE project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 945175."

Additionally, in the bibliography, users must formally cite the official EchoRisk-MICCAI challenge summary paper (citation details to be updated post-publication).
